Ronald Baker, a proud veteran and Officer of the US Navy Nurse Corps, has dedicated his career to service and care, both in the military and as a Registered Advanced Practice Nurse. His work in healthcare continues to impact the well-being of many, but his passion extends beyond nursing to the future of our children. As a passionate advocate for Unit 4 Public Schools, Ronald is focused on driving meaningful change within the district. He is committed to closing the educational gap, raising academic standards, and cultivating a positive, supportive culture in our schools. Ronald is dedicated to addressing the critical staff shortages that challenge our educators, ensuring they have the resources and support necessary to create thriving classrooms.

Lastly, she works as an Associate Professor of Elementary Literacy at a university nearby.

A resident of Champaign since 1993, Karl Geissler served as teaching aide at Centennial High School and a coach at Edison until 1997 while working on his MS in Kinesiology at the University of Illinois.  He went into professional coaching and then into the field of sports construction.  Married to Dorie, an instructor at Parkland College and the University of Illinois, they raised two sons who are successful products of Unit 4.  He currently serves as a volunteer coach at Centennial High School working with the soccer and track and field programs, and is on the board of directors for the Rockets Track Club.
