Jason Leech is a keyboardist, producer, DJ, and writer based out of Louisville, KY who has been studying, performing and teaching music for most of his life. Jason performs piano and synths over a variety of electronic beats. Jason’s approach to performing is transforming the way people experience electronic music.
In 2014, Jason began experimenting with his own style of music by playing the piano over his original remixes of his favorite EDM songs. Combining all of what made him feel alive, Jason recorded and uploaded his performances. He immediately began to receive positive feedback from fans and the original artists who created the music he remixed. His videos have been uploaded by artists such as Excision, Zeds Dead GRiZ, Big Gigantic Rezz, RL Grime, NGHTMRE, ILLENIUM, Alison Wonderland, Clozee, What So Not, and many more. Since he debuted his live EDM keyboard set in 2017 for Brownies and Lemonade, a Los Angeles based events group, Jason has opened for GRiZ, Galantis, Big Gigantic, Bear Grillz, OOKAY, Ill Gates, Fox Stevenson, Manic Focus, and more.
Honeycomb is in his essence a walking, breathing, anywhere, anytime musical instrument; embracing spontaneity in his performance, and elevating the moment for anyone who wishes to participate and lend an ear. Although widely renowned for his beatboxing, Honeycomb is furthermore a talented producer, DJ, pianist, guitarist, and drummer. If it can be played, he’ll rock it and ride the groove until there’s no more to be had.
In his years of performance and travel, Honeycomb has toured nationwide supporting bands, DJ’s, and a diverse range of talent, receiving widespread support & respect of peers, and collaborating with the likes of T-Pain, Moon Hooch, Mija, Liquid Stranger, 12th Planet, Claude vonStroke and Big Gigantic – to name just a few. Whether it be playing his tracks out in sets, being invited to support national tours, or spontaneously hopping on stage for a b2b or performance with an MC, Honeycomb is forever welcome and rarely turns down an opportunity to crack a smile and move the floor.
Year after year he’s been invited back to Electric Forest, Dirtybird Campout, Holy Ship, Camp Bisco and of a variety of other festivals to perform, and to share his creativity, versatility, & positive energy. If Honeycomb is at the event, expect to see him buzzing around, finding his way onto stages and into impromptu jams that become highlights for staff, musicians & unsuspecting patrons alike.
