🎤 Curated by The Champaign Cypher Series and TheLetterLBeats. Our Hip-Hop open mic series combines not only the Red Room stage+sound, but workshop elements. We aim to offer CU artists a well rounded platform that provides a safe and consistent space to practice their craft. Tuesdays will also feature regular discussion, critique and guest speakers to share their insights and different perspectives. These guests will range from performers, djs, sound engineers, producers, promoters, booking agents and more.   

🎤 You must sign up in person! Doors open and sign-ups begin at 7pm, and night typically gets started around 830-9pm. It doesn’t matter if you’re an aspiring performer looking to learn and network or an established veteran wanting to rinse out some new material, Tuesday at Canopy is the place to be. All sub-genres of hip-hop music are welcome and encouraged. We’re also looking for djs, hosts and sound techs to get involved so don’t be shy. Come introduce yourself.
